About Paul

Paul was born in 1975 and is a Software Engineer by day, and a writer by night (not quite a superpower, but close). Living near Huntington in the UK, Paul has a full house with one wife, two kids, three chickens and one rather under-loved vegetable garden. Working his way through his wife's library of books, Paul developed a passion for reading many years ago. He is now pursuing and encouraging the love of writing he had when he won a poetry competition at the age of 13 (don't ask him what it was, his memory sucks).

Paul loves everything technological; a self-professed 'gadget man' and Twitter addict, you will find it hard to keep up with all the activity on his social media sites. Most of his spare time is now spent with his family, doing the necessary home owner's DIY (using carpentry skills he learnt from his father), and also disappearing into his workshop to build something strange and unusable (he doesn't expect everything to work). Paul has a YouTube channel for all the projects that aren't related to writing.

Paul's first novel, Benjamin Sorrow: One for Sorrow, encouraged his passion for writing, and he has found this to be an exciting experience so far.

Paul also likes to write about himself in the third-person for some reason, which explains the paragraphs above. It must be a writer thing?

Paul also took part in NaNoWriMo for 2017, 2018 and 2019 and completed a 50k work first draft in each competition. He's dead chuffed about that!
